This year, we accepted the invitation to the event called INFOTRIP 2025, which took place on April 16, 2025, at the Cultural Center in Senica. We are happy that the organizers included us in the program. It is an honor for us to have had the opportunity to show how Scouting is selfless and volunteer-driven.
But let's move on to the program. Our main task was to present water scouting in Senica. In addition, we also introduced our project this year, Plastic Hunters (more info here). We brought three banners to the event – one about the project “We Are in the Same Boat”, one about the project “Frog Taxi”, and one about the music school (ZUŠka). There was also a microscope through which the youth could observe microplastics from a sample taken in Cerová.
The program started at 9:00 in the dance hall. At the same time, other workshops and lectures were taking place on different floors and in various rooms – on financial literacy, Top-down, Erasmus+, EZS, Discover EU, media literacy, volunteering, environmental topics, DemocrAID, CVČ, youth parliaments, and many other topics.
In addition to presenting our organization and the project Plastic Hunters, we also taught small groups of young people how to recognize different tracks of predators and animals. And not only that, but also how to start a fire, tie quick knots (bee knot).
The attendance at the entire event was very high – I would even say, quite large :). A number of youth groups, as well as older interested individuals, visited our booth.
