Hall of Fame

In our Hall of Fame, we honor those who shape the history of our harbor. Welcome, and pay tribute to our partners – you could soon be one of them.

Since the inception of scouting in Senica, she has been an active member and a seeker of good partners. Although
many good deeds for the community have been done by scouts as a whole, she is the driving force that attracts the necessary number of people to the event. Whether it’s the Bethlehem Light, Frog TAXI (in which she has served from the beginning
and personally has the most volunteer hours in the transfer of migrating amphibians) or, starting this year, overseeing the activities of the entire troop, she is always in the background, setting an example for others. Thanks to her, her entire family is involved with our scouts, providing strong support for public events. Thanks to her, we are a good team that believes in the importance of what we do for the youth and the community. When Fany wears the uniform, it’s clear that she takes scouting seriously. Her right sleeve is fully covered with mastered challenges and merit badges, some of which take more than a year to complete. Fanta herself believes in the sustainability
of our scouting initiatives and does not allow for a moment that we would stop. And as long as she’s with us, we believe in it too.

He is one of the founding members of the scout troop and, besides being a good partner, he has endurance
and a talent for working with younger scouts. Currently, he leads meetings with newcomers and does it well. He has believed in our
scouting dream and knows how to “infect” his friends with it. He also takes his training for the leadership role seriously and diligently trains. As part of his community involvement, we should mention his dedicated service in Frog Taxi, Bethlehem Light, Bird Island, and, during the past summer, his leadership role in organizing a scout camp for both Senica troops – the younger cubs and the older scouts. Orel is
one of the co-authors of the story-telling project with multiple endings, and thanks to his ability and willingness to speak in public, he was able to successfully promote Senica’s creative writing competitions at school.
He is always the first at volunteer events, and if it’s necessary to perform in front of an unknown crowd, he’s happy to take the lead.
Orel is our PR face and a valuable leadership role model for the younger scouts, always willing to help.

Lukáš found out about scouting through an advertisement in the shopping center and immediately knew he wanted to help build boats. All three sailboats we have built with the scouts, and on which our enthusiastic sailors are currently racing, passed through his hands. He is one of the founders of scouting in Senica and has worked hundreds of volunteer hours planting trees, organizing workshops for paddle-making, and has helped hundreds of frogs and salamanders cross the road. Currently, he is helping with meetings and planning activities for our oldest rangers. He’s a good partner, an enthusiastic kayaker, and a kind guy.
Many children from Senica know him as “the kayaker with a candy,” as they tried to catch a valuable treasure in our Teplica while riding in kayaks during the Mother’s Mile event. When working with younger scouts, he always knows how to gauge who needs a little challenge and who needs a helping hand. He doesn’t say much, but his actions speak louder than words. He is a man of action and a role model for all of us who believe in scouting in Senica.

He joined us as an adult, experienced, and hungry for the scouting lifestyle. Thanks to his extensive wilderness skills, we have in our team someone who can start a fire the Indian way (by rubbing sticks) in less than a minute. A year ago, the Lighthouse took over the supervision of the entire scout troop, thanks to

him, we were able to start working with the younger scouts. Those who know him know that humility and peacefulness are his main virtues. However, few know that among the Senica scouts, he is one of the most enthusiastic promoters of yachting and one of the most willing drivers when it comes to transporting camp materials and crews on trips. The Lighthouse has been leading the frog patrols at Cerová for many years, which is our busiest spring migration route. Thanks to his creativity, our Frog Taxi has become a town-wide scouting art event, whether in the form of a dancing frog at the traditional sailors' ball, the frog king during the water unlocking, or our harbor logo, which proudly bears the name BUFO VIRIDIS (European Green Toad). The Lighthouse knows how to play with ideas and can draw everyone else into the fun. Learning through play – an old scouting motto – comes to life with him in all its beauty.
