What is scouting?
Slovak Scouting is a voluntary, independent, non-political, non-profit, educational organization for young people, accessible to all regardless of origin, nationality, race, or religion.
Its aim is to educate young people about personalities and the formation of values. Its basic educational unit is the troop, in which several scout crews are grouped.
The troops are further joined together to form a port, with the Scout port usually being granted legal personality. Ports from one region form a Scout Area and the areas fall directly under the national authorities of Scouting.
